Hot Pot and One Year of Kimmunity

We kicked off the new year the best way we know how—around a bubbling pot of soup, sharing stories, laughs, and way too many favorite ingredients. This get-together marked two milestones at once: welcoming the new year and celebrating the one-year birthday of the Kimmunity Lab.

Hot pot felt right. It’s communal, it’s chaotic in the best way, and it rewards patience and curiosity—values that feel very Kimmunity.

Everyone had their own pot, their own broth, and complete freedom to build it exactly how they wanted. It turned out to be a pretty good metaphor for the past year. Same table, same goal, but everyone bringing their own ideas, strengths, and flavors to the mix. Some pots were spicy, some mild, some carefully curated, some delightfully chaotic—but all equally valid, and all part of the same meal.

What started as a new space with big ideas has grown into a team that’s thoughtful, supportive, and genuinely fun to be around—inside and outside the lab.
